da aviator aposta: It was a difficult day out for Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge.
da 888casino: Returning to the place where he was a Premier League title winner, his Tottenham side were beaten 2-1 by Chelsea. The scoreline may indicate that this was a close affair, but in reality, the Blues spent much of the match in the ascendancy – they had 17 shots to their opponents’ five and were 2-0 up before Antonio Rudiger’s own goal late on.
It could have been even worse for Spurs had Giovani Lo Celso been sent off for a stamp on Cesar Azpilicueta – Stockley Park even admitted they had got it wrong by keeping him on the field – but in the end, the result is all that matters.
A true test for any Spurs fan: Can you match these iconic images with the right results?
Several players struggled, one of which was Japhet Tanganga. He was making just his fourth start in the Premier League, but it is likely to be one he would rather forget. The 6 foot youngster failed to make a single tackle or clearance, managing just two interceptions – that was pretty much the beginning and end of his defensive contributions.
The 20-year-old also lost five out of his nine total duels, whilst he also committed two fouls. He also gave the ball away 15 times, which was the fourth-most amongst his teammates.
In previous matches, he has done well – he has an average WhoScored rating in the top flight of 7.1 this term. According to The Daily Mirror, he has already done enough to convince Tottenham to keep him at the club – the north London outfit are said to be readying a £20,000-a-week deal.
However, it is worth remembering that this is just the start of his career, and a few good performances do not make a player.

Look at Juan Foyth, for example. He really broke into Mauricio Pochettino’s squad last term, making 12 appearances in the Premier League. There was plenty of praise for him at the time, and it looked like he could be a regular for last season’s Champions League finalists. This season, though, he has made just one start in the league, and has not even been in any of the last seven match-day squads. It appears that Mourinho has frozen him out, with the defender failing to live up to those early expectations.
Tanganga may have shown promise, but it’s a little early to give him a new contract – Tottenham should wait and see what he brings to the table on a more regular basis, with his current terms not due to expire until summer 2021. That would then give Mourinho a clearer indication of whether the academy product can cut it at the highest level for the long-term, rather than just being a flash in the pan.
Meanwhile, Tottenham fans discuss Jose Mourinho’s stance on this youngster.
