After succumbing to a derby day loss at the hands of bitter rivals Manchester United on Saturday, a match where City still looked nowhere near their defensive best, the players went out and celebrated Raheem Sterling’s birthday with a Great Gatsby-themed party – though John Stones’ antics angered a handful of supporters.
Manchester City take on Dinamo Zagreb on Wednesday evening having already qualified for the knockout stage as group winners, with a few youngsters likely to cameo in the encounter.
Before that, though, Sterling and his City teammates celebrated the winger’s birthday in style in a season where he looks well-positioned to top his best goalscoring season for the club.
Despite this, a few fans took aim at John Stones following a clip of the party which surfaced online.
The defender appeared to be having a little bit too much fun, and plenty of fans think he could soon feel the wrath of Pep Guardiola.
