Leeds have been taking a risk in their last few fixtures as they’ve lined up without a recognised striker on the bench.
Of course, this is down to their lack of depth in that role after Eddie Nketiah’s recall, but that doesn’t mean there are no strikers on the books.
In fact, they’ve got an incredibly talented youngster at their disposal, and he goes by the name of Ryan Edmondson.
Edmondson should be a familiar name for many United supporters at this point. He’s been one of the academy’s brightest sparks for quite a while now, netting 20 goals for the U23s last term, but Bielsa seemingly doesn’t rate him.

He’s not appeared on the bench in recent weeks despite now being the logical second-choice striker behind Patrick Bamford, and Phil Hay’s recent comments on him make it seem as though Bielsa doesn’t want to use the teenager.
The journalist said that he’s not convinced that he has a future at Leeds, adding that Bielsa may be the reason behind that.
The Argentine may well be a god-like figure in the eyes of supporters, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t absolved of all criticism.
Ignoring a player who netted 20 goals last year despite playing six years above his age group, playing with the U23s as a 17-year-old, is simply ridiculous.
You could forgive him for not playing him this season as Leeds need proven talents and it’s pretty much promotion or bust, but he should definitely be in his long-term plans.
For so long, conversion rate has been an issue for Leeds, and they have this young talent who certainly knows where the net is but Bielsa wants nothing to do with him.
It makes zero sense, and we can only hope that the Argentine makes a U-turn on this stance in the near future.
In other news, Victor Orta should treat a recent transfer update as a wake-up call.
